Zocdoc
What it was
Zocdoc is two-sided marketplace that allows users to search for and book medical appointments with healthcare providers
What I did
As the Senior Manager of Product Design for the Marketplace and Engagement teams, I led efforts to optimize our core search and booking experiences, as well as formulating our post-booking engagement and retention strategies.
What my work included
Led and scaled a team of 4 Senior–Principal designers across five strategic product areas (Growth/SEO, Discovery, Insurance, Booking, Engagement), balancing vision, execution, and craft.
Orchestrated a 7-designer, cross-pod app redesign to drive sustained engagement and rebooking behavior, delivering an 8% lift in booking conversion.
Helped to define and lead the design vision for next-generation AI-powered search and discovery, managing and mentoring a designer as they explored and validated concepts through rapid AI prototyping.
Drove measurable funnel improvements, increasing intake completion by 5.0%–8.9% and same-session rebooking by 5.8%–7.8% through focused design interventions to our post booking experiences.
Set the strategic direction for Zocdoc’s post-booking experience, ensuring consistency across touchpoints and clarity in the user journey.
Snapshots of the work I led
From leading the app redesign to defining input strategy and shaping the post-booking experience, these snapshots highlight my role in driving vision through execution.
A vision for input collection
I spearheaded a cross-pod vision initiative to streamline and systematize search input collection across different user journeys, improving our ability to efficiently and accurately match patients with the right providers.
App vision
I helped lead the execution of an app-wide redesign, beginning with a clear vision for onboarding, authentication, and personalization. The early prototypes below were created to set direction and inspire alignment across stakeholders.
